Marie Thorndahl

Marie Thorndahl is a French-Danish artist who lives and works in France and Switzerland. Marie favours contemporary portrait painting and drawing. She develops her own technical narrative mixing academic approaches with contemporary processes. She deepens the exploration of the human body and nature by engaging her figurative paintings with social and political issues.

Marie is a skilled teacher of fine art drawing, classical oil painting, portrait/croquis and plein air landscape painting. She has followed the teachings of contemporary artists from all over the world and strengthened her abilities in classical drawing and painting at various schools (such as the Florence Academy of Art).

Marie is also socio-economist and a publisher in social sciences.
